| Japanese ancient monster stickers by Takashi Sugizaki Ghost Yokai Series: Aobozu ------------------------------------------------In folklore, there are various theories about the Aobozu depending on the region and legend, and there is no fixed image; it is often depicted as something like a large figure, or a large monk-like head. In Sekien's painting, he is depicted as a one-eyed monk standing next to a hermitage, but since there is no explanatory text in "Gazu Hyakki Yakou," the exact type of Yoka he is depicting is unclear.
